Dear Participants:
Our conference date is fast approaching and the organizing committee is pleased to report that preparations are proceeding on schedule. Attached are the Program Outline and a List of Presentations. At this time, we would like to remind the participants of the following details.
Arrival in Seoul’s Incheon International Airport (ICN) and ground transportation
In most cases, the delegates from overseas will arrive at Incheon International Airport (ICN). ICN is about 80 minutes drive away from Suwon, the venue location. During peak arrival hours, KFRI staff will be available at the first floor arrival gates area to assist you with your ground transportation. However, if KFRI staff is not available when you arrive, please proceed as follows:
Limousine bus is the most convenient and economical mode of transportation from the airport to Suwon. Buses depart regularly every 20-30 minutes and it costs 12,000KRW (about $10 USD). As you exit the airport terminal building from the arrival level, you will see the bus platforms on the curbside. Limousines for Suwon are boarded at Platform 7B (http://www.airport.kr/airport/traffic/bus/busList.iia?flag=E ). There are 3 stops in Suwon: please make sure to get off at “Hotel Castle” stop. It is about 5 minutes’ drive away from Ibis Hotel (venue: 1132-12 Ingye-Dong Paldal-Gu, Suwon, Korea. Tel :(+82) 31-230-5000). The Ibis Hotel bus will take you to the hotel.
Oral Presentations
Presenting authors should check the attached outline and presentation time table. In most cases, total length of the presentation is 20 minutes. This 20 minute period will be divided into a 15-minute talk and 5-minute question period. However, some presentations are assigned a 30-minute presentation period. In this case, a 20-minute talk and 10-minute question period are allocated. Since our schedule is very tight, the presenters are advised to adhere to the time allotted.
Presentations should be prepared using Microsoft Power Point. Please make sure that the presentation is uploaded onto the ‘conference computer’ during registration. We recommend bringing USB mass storage device although compatible media such as CD or DVD are acceptable.
Poster Presentations
Scientific posters will be presented from August 18th to the 20th. We recommend the poster size of 84cm x 120cm. The poster board will be available for set up on August 18th (the arrival day – see program outline).
